A solo performance lingering on passages of time and reflecting on the body's awareness of history, vitality, and destiny.

Waiting for the Cactus to Bloom, is a quiet, durational, solo performance that dramatizes stillness and movement in an embodied effort to reconcile the tension between inherited histories and germinating notions of self. Through soundscapes and sound bites, poetry and practices, pacing and pausing, Webb-Johnson animates contemplation as a way of exploring the charged knowledge the body inherits, intuits, and desires to know.
